The property consists of 100.79 acres in the northeast quadrant of the interstate interchange of I-65 and County Line Road on the south side of Indianapolis. The Interchange is Exit 101. The property is bounded by I-65 on the west, County Line Road on the south, and Arlington Avenue on the east. The southwest quadrant of the interchange contains a Wal-Mart and Gander Mountain. The southeast quadrant of the intersection is owned by Cabela’s. They have planned a development, but it is currently on hold due to economic conditions. The northwest quadrant is undeveloped. The site is one of the few undeveloped urban Interstate interchanges in the nation.
The Exit 101 interchange lies between two fully developed interchanges: the Southport interchange to the north and the Greenwood interchange to the south. The interchange was installed in 1998 to relieve congestion on the interstate from the Southport and Greenwood exits. |
